The MTRA Board of Directors works in conjunction with an Industry Advisory Council. The Council is comprised of 15 industry representatives from the money services business industry and the service providers that support the money services business industry.
The Council serves as a liaison between industry and regulators and consults, advises, and assists the MTRA Board on issues surrounding money services business regulation. Council members meet with the MTRA Board in connection with the MTRA’s Annual Conference and at such other times as requested by the Board, usually quarterly The Council works in partnership with the MTRA Board, bringing discussion topics to the Annual Meeting and providing requested input to the Board as matters arise.
Please see the bylaws for the IAC. Members are expected to attend and participate in meetings.
Candidates should contribute to a diversity of points of view, should be a representative of and/or represent the money services business industry, and should possess special knowledge, insight or skills relevant to the money services business industry. Members of the industry that would be interested in either serving on the Council or in nominating another industry professional to serve on the Council should submit a request containing the qualifications (resume and statement of interest in serving) of the nominee to the attention of Karyn Tierney via info@mtraweb.org no later than May 16, 2025.
